How big?Tank size guide
Holding tanks collect wastewater from trailers and sinks. Fresh water tanks supply clean water where there’s no hookup. Size both by how many people use them and how often they’re serviced.
| Tank size | Typical use |
|---|
| 250–300 gal | Single office trailer or small restroom trailer |
| 500 gal | Restroom trailers for weekend events |
| 1,000 gal | Larger trailers, multi-day events, busy offices |
| 1,500–3,000 gal | Shower trailers, work camps, emergency sites |
Tip: more frequent pump-outs mean a smaller tank. Tell us your schedule and we’ll balance tank size against service visits.
Estimates only — we’ll confirm the right setup when we quote. FAQCommon questions
Do I need both a holding tank and a fresh water tank?
Only if there’s no water or sewer hookup on site. Many trailers need a fresh water tank in and a holding tank out.
How often are tanks pumped?
It depends on use. Busy trailers may need service every day or two; light use might go a week. We’ll set a schedule when we quote.
Can you connect tanks to an office trailer?
Yes. Office trailers with restrooms commonly use a holding tank and fresh water tank.
What happens if a tank fills early?
Call us and we’ll get an extra pump-out scheduled with the provider.
We have job sites in several states. Can you help?
Yes. We can help with multiple job sites across multiple states at the same time, all with one point of contact and one invoice.
