How many do you need?Plan above the OSHA minimum
OSHA sets the minimum number of toilets on construction sites (29 CFR 1926.51). Most contractors plan above that minimum so units stay clean between services, which is what the calculator estimates.
| Workers on site | OSHA minimum |
|---|
| 20 or fewer | 1 toilet |
| 20 to 199 | 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers |
| 200 or more | 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 50 workers |
Rule of thumb: about 1 portable toilet per 10 workers on a 40-hour week with weekly service. Longer hours or bigger crews call for more units or more frequent service.
Use the calculator for an estimate — we’ll confirm the right count for your site when we quote. FAQCommon questions
How often are construction toilets serviced?
Weekly service is standard on most job sites. Large crews, long hours or hot weather may need twice-weekly service — we’ll recommend a schedule when we quote.
Can you put toilets on upper floors?
Yes — crane-liftable units can be booked for high-rise and multi-level projects. Let us know your floor count when you request a quote.
Do you handle long-term projects?
Yes. Rent month to month with a regular service schedule and one monthly invoice.
We have job sites in several states. Can you help?
Yes. We can set up and manage restrooms for multiple job sites across multiple states at the same time, all with one point of contact.
How fast can units be delivered?
It depends on the market. Rush delivery is possible in many areas — we confirm timing with you when we book.
